US condoles Nepal helicopter crash

The United States on Wednesday extended its condolences in the wake of the helicopter crash in Nepal's Taplejung district that killed all seven on board, including Nepal's Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari.

"We were deeply saddened to learn of the helicopter crash in #Nepal that killed six people, including Minister for Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation @RabindraADH. We extend heartfelt condolences to the families of all those who perished on the flight," the Department of State noted.

Those who accompanied the minister on the Air Dynasty 9N AMI helicopter included Prime Minister's Personal Secretary Yubraj Dahal and Tourism Entrepreneur Ang Chiring Sherpa.

 

The pilot of the ill-fated chopper has been identified as Prabhakar KC.
