U.S. Congressman Trey Radel has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine before a Washington D.C. Superior Court judge.

According to the court documents, the Republican congressman from Florida will be on supervised probation for one year for purchasing, possessing and using cocaine on several occasions, Politico reports.

Radel was arrested last month after getting caught in a sting operation by federal officials attempting to buy cocaine in Washington, D.C. from an acquaintance and an undercover agent

The agents said that he purchased cocaine for his personal use and occasionally shared it with others.

The 37-year-old has already been under treatment at the Executive Addiction Disease Program in Washington, but will now enter in-patient treatment in Florida on court orders.
