US marks three Pakistanis among five Muslims for surveillance

Three of the five American Muslims being monitored discreetly by the U.S. intelligence agencies are of Pakistan origin, revealed a report.

According to the Dawn, an online magazine named The Intercept has received documents from Edward J. Snowden revealing the names of the three Muslims: Asim Ghafoor, Faisal Gill and Agha Saeed. While the first two are lawyers, the last one heads a thinktank in the U.S.

Gill was a former security lawyer for the US Department of Homeland Security and had served in the Bush administration. Ghafoor on the other hand, is a defence lawyer who has handled terrorism-related cases in the past and Saeed heads a thinktank called, American Muslim Alliance, which supports Muslim political candidates in the U.S.
