The Muslim group, Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is reportedly suing the NSA for 'snooping' on Americans' phone data.
According to the Washington Times, CAIR has joined other 18 privacy and civil liberties groups in filing the suit against NSA and argue that collecting phone records is an infringement on Americans' right to free association.
The other groups who are part of the lawsuit also include the Human Rights Watch, First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles, Bill of Rights Defense Committee, Free Press and Media Alliance among others.
