Top seed Novak Djokovic advanced to his 22nd consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinal as he beat Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets at the US Open.
World number one Djokovic secured a 6-1, 7-5, 6-4 win over Kohlschreiber and will next face British number one Andy Murray, who defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-5, 7-5, 6-4, The BBC reported.
Djokovic said that he thinks it is great that he has been playing some really good tennis, really high quality so far, but added that it's normal to expect that he is going to have tougher opponents as the tournament goes on.
The Serb also said that quarterfinals against Murray is a very tough draw, and added that it is the way it is.
