English golfer Justin Rose has said that he is pleased with his form and is trending in the right direction as he prepares to defend his US Open title at Pinehurst, starting from 12 June.

Rose, who won his first major at Merion Golf Club last year, said that it is all about picking up a trophy now.

According to the BBC, the South Africa-born British golfer said that he has played three majors now as a major champion and feels that turning up to majors having won one does feel different.

Rose, who became the first Englishman for 43 years to win the US Open and first English player to win a major since Nick Faldo in 1996, added that one has got that extra bit of confidence in a major because one knows that he has done it before.

Rose has been in good form recently, finishing fifth at the Wells Fargo Championship and in the fourth place at the Players Championship last week, the report added.
