US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel has said that the United States will not review its raids policy despite the recent failed Yemen hostage rescue mission.
The comments came after the recent US rescue attempt that failed to free journalist Luke Somers and South African teacher Pierre Korkie, who were killed during the operation by al-Qaeda in Yemen.
According to the BBC, Hagel defended the rescue bid, saying such raids were risky but that there was no need for a policy review.
It was the third failed rescue attempt of a US hostage in the past six months.
