US to release USD 337 bn to Pak under Coalition Support Fund

A United States official has said that Washington is likely to release 337 million dollars to Pakistan from the Coalition Support Fund soon.

According to the BBC, a State Department spokesperson said that the reimbursement of 337 million dollars of Coalition Support Fund assistance has been approved by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter.

The spokesperson also said that the United States Government anticipates it will be released by the month end.

The Coalition Support Fund is the US' commitment to help Pakistan eliminate terrorist threats throughout the country, said the official.
