US President Barack Obama has said Washington welcomes the rise of a peaceful, stable and prosperous China.
The US President, who met his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit here, said both sides are committed to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and full implementation of the U.N. sanctions.
Obama said he is very pleased to announce new steps to accelerate implementation of the historic Paris climate change agreement.
"Being the world's two largest economies, we have a special obligation to find cooperative measures that we can take to expand growth and global demand," he added.
Obama said the United States has significant interests in the Asia Pacific region like China and other countries.
"We have deep concerns about our ability to protect the intellectual property of our companies," he added.

The US President appreciated his Chinese counterpart's willingness to have candid conversations on matters like human rights, cyber and maritime issues in a constructive way.
The Chinese President on his part said that it was his great pleasure to have this bilateral meeting on the margins of the fourth Nuclear Security Summit.
Xi said many major steps of progress have been taken in the bilateral relationship between both sides through the joint efforts.
He added that both sides would work together to make the Nuclear Security Summit a success.
The Chinese President said he is glad that both countries have announced to sign the Paris agreement on April 22.
Xi said that both countries are actively exploring possibilities of deepening cooperation in wide areas from economy and trade and people-to-people exchange from counter terrorism to law enforcement and cyber security.
He added that both countries want to enhance communication and coordination on Korea's nuclear issue and to consolidate and expand our shared interests.
He reiterated it is a priority for China's foreign policy to work with the US to build a new model of major country relations and to realize no conflicts or confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation.
Xi further said he is looking forward to increase communication with President Obama, focus on cooperation, manage their differences, build mutual trust and set China-U.S. relations on the path of steady growth.
The Chinese President said as the largest developing country and the largest developed country and being the world's top two economies, both sides have the growing responsibilities for promoting world peace, stability and prosperity.
