A Lexington woman has been fired from her clerk job at a gas station because she failed to follow the standard protocol during a robbery.
While explaining the shocking incident, Betty Green said that a man walked into the station and bought some beer, then handed her a note, which said that she should quietly give him all the money and he would leave.
According to LEX18.com, when the unnamed man showed Green the gun he had under his shirt, she somehow gathered the courage to say no.
Green claimed that after the man grinned at her, picked up his purchases and left, she called 911.
Green said that she was soon suspended, as she didn't follow the businesses rules of handing over the cash and pressing the panic button.
Green added that she was shocked with the fact that she has been fired for refusing to hand over the money.
