Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, and Britten Sinfonia will perform a musical dialogue called 'Soul Strings', today in New Delhi.
The musical dialogue between the sarod maestro and the world renowned orchestra on their first visit to India will be held at The Taj Mahal Hotel, and will include Machair to Myrhh, which will be performed by the United Kingdom's pioneering orchestra, followed by a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of Indian Independence, and will conclude with the 68-year-old Indian classical musician's concerto for Sarod called Samaagam.
The 'Soul Strings' is aimed at creating mystic melodies and presenting unique compositions representing Indian and Western repertoire.
