A girl in Uttar Pradesh has called off her wedding after her bridegroom-to-be failed to solve a mathematics question posed to him.
According to reports, the girl in question, Lovely, became suspicious of groom Ram Baran's educational qualifications and asked him to add 15 to six. When Baran's answer was 17, she called off the wedding.
"They had showed one person's photo but someone else turned up. Neither the boy earns, nor could he solve a simple maths question. I refused to marry him," said Lovely.
According to reports, the groom's family tried to convince Lovely to return. However, she walked out of the ceremony. Later, the gifts exchanged between the two sides were returned.
