Auli, the Himalayan ski resort in Uttarakhand, is all geared up to host the Winter Games from January 15-21 and it now needs nothing but the nature to be kind on it to conclude the event successfully.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also toured Auli to review the preparations for the game.
"The government has done all the preparations for the Winter Games. Arrangements for the national and international players who are to participate in the event have been done and also for the tourists", the Chief Minister said.
He added, "Now we are looking towards nature and fortunately it is contributing in commencing of the games".
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister also informed that on January 16, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will also visit Auli to discuss the future prospects in the area.
Earlier, the games were scheduled to be held in December, but due to low snowfall, the dates have been extended until January.

S. P. Chamoli, President Winter Games Association of Uttarakhand, said, "We have artificial snow-making machines here. But a lot of things still depend on nature. As the temperature is falling down further we are expecting to successfully make artificial snow for the games".
He informed that so far nearly ten countries have registered for the events. Local teams from India will also participate in the games.
