Manchester United football team manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly demanded his squad to develop a killer instinct.
Although United has won their last two games, they were left hanging on for 2-1 victories against West Ham United and Everton. The club faces West Bromwich Albion on Monday night, with Van Gaal determined his side show a ruthless streak and start killing off games.
Van Gaal said that he is looking for balance in the team, not only spectacular attacking football, but also when one loses the ball, that one has a shape as a team and that they can defend more easily and kill the game better, The Mirror reported.
The Dutchman said that he thinks the players understand the philosophy better but they have to perform that philosophy and United has to show it.
Van Gaal said his injury list, which at one stage stood at 10 players, was now down to four. Although Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are all back in training, Van Gaal was coy over whether any would be involved at West Brom.
