Coming out in support of David Moyes, Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has said that the manager needs time to turn things around for the club.
Moyes, in his first season in charge, has guided Manchester United to the last 16 of the Champions League as well as the League Cup semi-finals. But they lie seventh in the league and are out of the FA Cup.
Van Persie, who has been sidelined for a month with a thigh problem, is confident United's fortunes will improve sooner rather than later, The BBC reports.
He admitted that United has lost too many points this year, but we are doing everything they can to change that.
Van Persie was a key figure for United last season, scoring 30 goals in all competitions as they claimed a 13th Premier League title.
Moyes joined United from Everton without a top-level trophy as manager.
