Rapper Vanilla Ice, who was recently arrested on suspicion for home burglary in Florida, has said that he lied to cops about owning the vacant Lake Worth, FL house where his "Vanilla Ice Project" TV crew allegedly made off with the pilfered items.

The American rapper, however, has also claimed that he thought some of the stuff was fair game because it was on the curb, TMZ.com reported.

According to reports, Ice also instructed the production crew to go inside the house and target specific items like a pool heater, valued at 3000 dollars.

Cops have since recovered most of the items, including an iron table with glass top valued at 450 dollars, Patio chairs valued at 1,000 dollars, a sofa valued at 1,000 dollars, two bicycles valued at 400 dollars and a large mirror valued at 500 dollars.
