Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Nadu on Thursday asked the Sonia Gandhi-led Congress Party to consider changing its strategy and tactics, and the engage with the NDA Government on issues of national import.

"They (Congress) should revise their strategy and then engage the government. This government is ready to engage with them, ready to walk that extra mile," Naidu said.

Naidu was speaking after both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi engaged in a verbal duel over the use of words like "Hawabaazi" (Sonia Gandhi) and Hawalabaazi (PM Modi) from different platforms.

While Modi accused the Congress of halting development-related programmes of his government, and of repeatedly stalling proceedings in parliament over the issue of the Land and GST Bills, Sonia asked the prime minister to come clean on cases involving Lalit Modi, Sushma Swaraj and Vasundhara Raje.
