South African fast bowler Vernon Philander is expecting to receive a good cricketing wicket with a bit of pace and bounce in the third and final Test against West Indies at Newlands, in an attempt to seal series win over the Caribbean.
Philander, who has taken 31 wickets at an average of 16.70 at the ground, said that Newlands always had something on day one and two, adding that they just wanted a good cricket wicket with a little bit of pace and bounce, Sport24 reported.
He further said that they need to take 20 wickets as a unit and in each game someone would blossom.
South Africa leads the three match Test series 1-0 against West Indies and goes into the final Test in Cape Town after clinching victory by an innings and 220 runs in the first contest and rain affected match drawn the second Test.
