Red Bull driver Max Verstappen emerged as the fastest driver in the opening practice session of this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.
The 18-year-old, who clocked the fastest lap of one minute and 45:823 seconds, was 0.049 seconds quicker than his Australian team mate Daniel Ricciardo, Sport24 reported.
Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel finished third fastest in his Ferrari followed by championship leader Lewis Hamilton, who finished the race 0.603 seconds slower than Verstappen.
Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, who has closed the gap to two points behind his team mate Hamilton at the top of the world championship, was fifth quickest after ending his session with a collision against the barriers.
Rosberg was trying to improve on his best time of 1:46.513 when he locked his brakes on Turn 18 and clouted the barrier.
