Veteran Odia actress Anita Das passes away

Veteran Odia TV and film actress Anita Das passed away on Friday following a cardiac arrest at her residence in Cuttack. She was 57.

Odisha Chief Minister expressed grief over her "untimely demise" and said that she will always be remembered for her contribution to Odia cinema.

"CM @Naveen_Odisha expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of renowned actor and TV personality Anita Das. He remembered her contribution to Odia film industry and stated she will be missed by the film fraternity and fans. He offered deep condolences to the bereaved family," read a tweet from official Twitter handle of Chief Minister's office.

 

In her long career in showbiz, Anita appeared in films like 'Suna Chadhei', 'Naga Phasa', 'Swapna Sagara', 'To Bina Mo Kahani Adha, 'Ramayan' and 'Maa-O-Mamata'.
