Red Bull racing ace Sebastian Vettel said that it is very good to hear that his hero Michael Schumacher is making progress from the severe head injuries the Formula One legend endured in a skiing accident.

Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm reportedly claimed that the seven-time world champion was 'making progress' by showing 'moments of consciousness and awakening' almost after 100 days of being kept in an induced coma.

It was a welcome news for many drivers in the paddock ahead of Sunday's Grand Prix at Bahrain, especially fellow Germans Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel, the Mirror reported.

Vettel said that although it is very good news that his hero is recovering, but added that naturally Schumacher still has a long process ahead of him and they wish him the best for it.

Meanwhile Rosberg, who was Schumacher's teammate for three years at Mercedes prior to the legend's retirement from Formula One at the end of 2012, said that it is 'fantastic' to hear some good news and is very happy about it.

Also, Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton, who along with Rosberg has been carrying the message 'Keep Fighting Michael' on the side of his Mercedes this year, said that it is really good to hear that Schumacher is recovering.

Schumacher suffered sever head injuries while skiing in the French resort of Meribel and had since been kept in a medically induced coma since, the reports added.
