Red Bull ace Sebastian Vettel has reportedly been handed a 200-euro fine for speeding in the pit-lane at the Singapore Grand Prix, although he earns that amount in less than ten minutes.

The triple-time world champion was reportedly found clocking 61.7 kilometres (38 miles) per hour late on Friday, just nudging over the 60 kph allowed for free practice sessions.

According to The Nation, Vettel earns a reported 12 million euros a year, which comes down to 32,376 euros a day or 22 euros a minute, for which the fine is just a drop in the ocean for him.

Meanwhile, the report mentioned that Malaysian-owned side Caterham driver Giedo van der Garde was fined a higher fine of 1000 euros after he was also clocked doing 69.1 kph in the pit-lane during Friday's second practice session.
