Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has said that it is the thrill of racing rather than making history which spurs him on to win Formula One titles.

According to Metro.co.uk, after winning the Japanese Grand Prix, Vettel is on the cusp of becoming the third man to win a fourth consecutive world title, alongside Michael Schumacher and Juan Manuel Fangio.

Vettel is set to wrap up the championship in a fortnight at the Indian Grand Prix, with nearest rival Fernando Alonso, fourth at Suzuka, now 90 points adrift, the report said.

However, when offered a choice between going down in history with Schumacher and Fangio and winning every race on the calendar, Vettel replied that he would prefer the second thing.
