Vice President Hamid Ansari was given a guard of honour in the presence of his Chinese counterpart Li Yuanchao in the Great Hall of the People here today.
The two leaders had earlier held delegation-level talks on several issues of mutual importance.
During the vice president's official visit to China, at least three agreements were signed between the two sides.
An Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation on Industrial Parks in India was signed by Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh and Gao Yan, Vice Minister, Ministry of Commerce from the Chinese side.
Another MoU concerning communication and cooperation of training in the area of Capacity Building of Public Officials was signed between Ashok K. Kantha, India's Ambassador to China and Feng Jun, Executive Vice President,China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong representing the Chinese side.
Another document pertaining to Implementation Plan for Provision of Hydrological Information of the Yarlung Zangbu/ Brahmaputra River in Flood Season by China to India was signed by Ashok K. Kantha, India's Ambassador to China and Liu Ning, Vice Minister, Ministry of Water Resources from the Chinese side.

During his first bilateral visit to China, Vice President Hamid Ansari visited the Great Wall of China, the Great Mosque of Xian and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda.
He also attended a trilateral summit meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Panchsheel Treaty at Beijing which was also attended by Myanmar President Thein Sein.
Ansari is accompanied by a high level delegation. It included Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Seetharaman and four Members of Parliament, Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh, the secretary to the vice president and Gautam Bambawale, Joint Secretary, East Asia.
Ansari reached China on Thursday to hold bilateral discussions with his counterpart Li Yuanchao and to attend events to mark the 60th anniversary of Panchsheel Agreement.
This is the first visit of an Indian leader to China after the NDA Government came to power last month.
