Vice President Hamid Ansari today visited the Great Wall of China as part of his ongoing bilateral visit to China.

The Vice President would also attend the trilateral Summit Meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Panchsheel treaty at Beijing today.

He had yesterday visited the Great Mosque of Xian and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda on his first bilateral visit to the neighbouring country.

Ansari arrived in Beijing from Xian city on Friday evening to take part in the Summit along with Myanmar President Thein Sein. The Chinese leadership was accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Ansari reached China on Thursday to hold bilateral discussions with his counterpart Li Yuanchao and to attend events to mark the 60th anniversary of Panchsheel Agreement.

This is the first visit of an Indian leader to China after the NDA government came to power last month.
