Vice President M. Hamid Ansari released a book entitled "Nehru Gazing at Tomorrow" authored by Dr. H.R. Bhardwaj, former Governor and Union Minister .
Addressing on the occasion here on Wednesday, the Vice President said that this book is a very systematic book on the ideas of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Dr. Bhardwaj has reproduced the full text of Pt Nehru's address at 1929 Congress session at Lahore which reflects in totality the ideas of Pt. Nehru.
He opined that this book is a useful contribution for the younger generation particularly and it should be translated in to Hindi and other regional and vernacular languages also for broader reach to the masses so that they can also get enlightened.
He congratulated the author and the publisher of the book for bringing out such a valuable book on the ideas of Pandit Nehru.
The book is about how future generations can learn from Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and his vision of our democracy. Through this book, the author seeks to locate Pandit Nehru in the evolution of the modern, secular and inclusive Indian state where caste and religion did not influence policy making.
