Victoria Pendleton had admitted that during her tough moments she has even cut her arms to distract her mind from the pain.
The Olympic cycling champion told her in her autobiography in 2012 that she didn't want to kill herself by cutting her arm, but still she soon saw a psychiatrist and got through it, the Daily Express reported.
The former track cyclist shared that she has faced some really low times in her life especially when she wasn't able to perform well and was frustrated, that time things got so closer to the symptoms of depression.
The 34-year-old former athlete also admitted that cycling has always helped her to make tough decisions as cycling gives her complete mental peace, and even no longer being competing, but still sometimes she rides her bike and goes up on hills to find peace.
