In an attempt to promote transparency in Cricket, the International Cricket Council has confirmed that the conversations between the on-field and video umpires will be now be made open for the knock-out stages of the World Cup.

The ICC said that broadcaster Star Sports would now be allowed to use the conversations between the umpires to go with footage of the decisions being assessed by the video umpired, such as run-outs and any instances of teams using the Decision Review System, Stuff.co.nz reported.

The move was made in order to rectify umpires' mistakes such as one occurred during the England versus Australia match, where batsman James Taylor was controversially denied his maiden international century.
