Villas-Boas slams critics as 'agenda-driven' after Spurs' draw against Man U

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has said that he feels the recent criticism he has received is aggressive and agenda driven and does not reflect his side's league position.

According to the BBC, there was speculation that Villas-Boas's job was in doubt following his side's 6-0 defeat by Manchester City last weekend, but he felt their performance against Manchester United showed his players are behind him.

Villas-Boas said that the sacking development was because of the interest and expectations that Tottenham have, adding that it was a very, very driven agenda by somebody that does not honour the club, nor himself or his players.

He added that obviously the club understood that the 6-0 defeat is something that cannot happen again, and so they need to dig deep to make the response, adding that he thought they showed that against United.
