A new vinyl-only record company has been launched to champion young music buyer's new found interest in the old-fashioned LP.
Demon Music Group has announced a new venture called Demon Records, a vinyl-only catalogue label.
And it is kicking off this summer with a string of special releases including rare re-issues and original releases of Foghat, Jim Croce, Sugar, Ian McCulloch, The Beat, Deacon Blue, Marc Bolan and Saxon, the Daily Express reported.
Demon's Ben Stanley said that as a company of record lovers, it's hugely encouraging to see the resurgence of vinyl.
Last year sales of vinyl LPs hit 389,000, the highest level for 16 years and 15.3 percent up on 2011, with 18 to 24-year-olds the biggest buyers.
27 percent of buyers don't even own a turntable, many saying they bought vinyl just to admire it.
