Indian batsman Virat Kohli has scored the fastest ODI century by an Indian and the fastest against Australia from just 52 deliveries, boosting India to a nine-wicket victory in the second ODI against the tourists in Jaipur on Wednesday.

India pulled off the second-highest run chase in one-day internationals in the game, with the highest run chase being South Africa's 438-9 against Australia in 2006.

According to the BBC, Kohli upped the ante with a brutal knock that featured seven sixes and eight fours as he finished unbeaten on 100, leading the hosts to their target of 360 with 39 balls to spare.

The report mentioned that Indian batsman Rohit Sharma, who was awarded the Man of the Match title, struck the winning runs to finish on 141 not out after Shikhar Dhawan weighed in with 95.

Australia won the first match of the series by 72 runs, and the report added that the third one-dayer in a six-match series takes place in Mohali on Saturday.
