Barely days after its spacecraft exploded over California's Mojave Desert, Virgin Galactic has said that it would continue building another commercial spacecraft.

Terming the fatal crash a "tragic setback," the company's website said that a sequel to the spacecraft that exploded, second SpaceShipTwo, is being developed and is about 65 percent complete. It added that the space tourism company will continue to advance the mission over the coming weeks, reported Huffington Post.

The National Transportation Safety Board has begun an investigation into the crash that killed co-pilot Michael Alsbury and injured pilot Peter Siebiold.
