The visitors' entry inside the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (NSCB) International Airport in Kolkata has been suspended for an indefinite period in the wake of the nationwide-terror alert issued by the Centre.
The CISF personnel guarding the airport have been put on maximum alert following the threats.
Security at the NSCB International Airport was beefed up yesterday following a threat to blow up the airport. The threat received by e-mail, was reportedly sent from Germany in the wee hours yesterday to the Airport manager's office.
The mail was noticed at around 6 am and authorities immediately sounded a high alert prompting the CISF personnel and special squads of Kolkata and Bidhan Nagar Police to launch a search and combing operation. Cyber experts of various agencies are checking the veracity and other details of the e-mail, the sources informed.
