An ultra-vintage frock that was worn by the late English veteran actress Vivien Leigh in 'Gone With the Wind' has now been sold for 137,000 dollars at auction in Beverly Hills.
The late Academy award winning actress wore this light blue floor-sweeping frock in several scenes of the 1939 classic, but now this vintage frock has faded to a dove gray color, E! Online reported.
James Tumblin, an avid 'Gone With the Wind' memorabilia collector, originally purchased this dress, featuring ball skirt, capelet, buttons down the bodice and a black, linear print, in early 1960s for 20 dollars, when he worked in the hair and makeup department at Universal Studios.
A straw hat worn by Leigh, was also sold for more than 52,000 dollars and some more six-figure items are set to be sold from Tumblin's collection.
