VK Singh on development plans to sort out infrastructure bottlenecks in his constituency

Former Army chief and Union Minister (Retd) General Vijay Kumar Singh on Sunday briefed the media about a host of issues pertaining to the development related issues of his constituency.

"You may be knowing that we have been facing power issues and in this direction I met with Union Power Minister, Piyush Goyal and he has talked to the chief minister and has called for a high level meeting with UP officials. Several areas which requires repairment the same has been intimated to the UP government so that it is repaired and the electricity deficit is sorted. We are continuing our pressure so that there is no shortage of electricty," Singh said.

 

"Similarly on water issues, we have sent a letter to the Government to do away with this problem. Based on this problem a long term plan will be formulated and once the feedback comes then it will be implemented," Singh added.

Singh also talked about the starting of work of Metro project in Ghaziabad in this year itself. Along with that he talked of creating a skill development centre in Ghaziabad and widening two National Highways in his constituency for which he said that he had a word with respective ministries.

At the same time he informed that he had a word with the Railways Minister to pursue all the outstanding projects related to Ghaziabad.

He also announced that he would be writing a letter to the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh to constitute a municipal corporation for Khoda so that it could be developed.
