Expressing deep grief at the passing away of Kerala Assembly speaker G. Karthikeyan, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday said the void left behind by him would be hard to fill.
Describing Karthikeyan as a leader whose political career spanned student, youth, legislative and administrative politics, she said the void left behind by him will be hard to fill.
She extended her condolences to the family and friends of the late leader.
Karthikeyan, who was undergoing treatment for liver cancer, passed away at the Health Care Global (HCG) hospital in Bengaluru earlier in the day. He was 66 years old.
