Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said the allegations levelled by the Congress Party against him and members of his family in connection to the Vyapam scam were baseless and made out of frustration.
"Congress is indulging in completely baseless and false allegations out of frustration. For them, I am like a thorn in their eyes," Chouhan told media persons here.
"The matter is being investigated under the supervision of the Supreme Court. This is not the first allegation and certainly not the last. All investigations are being done with an unbiased approach," he added.
Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh had on Monday alleged that Chouhan's name was replaced by Union Minister Uma Bharati and others in the Vyapam case.
Singh also alleged that Chouhan's name was replaced in the excel sheet submitted by the Special Task Force in the court, apparently to shield him in the case.
Digvijay Singh said he had filed a statement under oath before the High Court appointed special investigation team (SIT) that words 'CM' occurred at 48 places which was altered to just 'minister' at 21 places, then 'Uma Bharati' at 18 places and 'Ms' at one place.
