Ahead of the two-Test series against Sri Lanka beginning August 6, Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has said that although his team has a nice balance of quality spinners and pacers yet it is no match to the likes of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel in the South African team.

Before starting the training camp for Pakistani team at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday, Younis also added that it will be unfair to compare the Pakistani bowlers with Steyn and Morkel because they are much younger, the Dawn reported.

The Steyn-Morkel duo produced a brilliant performance in Sri Lanka where spinners are considered more threatening than pacers.

Sounding upbeat about facing Sri Lanka in the upcoming Test series and One Day Internationals (ODIs), Younis added that he is looking forward to cash-in on the strengths of his team and attack Sri Lanka in different ways with the backing of spinners like Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman and pacers Mohammad Talha and Wahab Riaz.

He also added that his only strategy would be to win every match on the tour in order to prepare the team for the 2015 World Cup.

Younis is a veteran cricketer who has played 87 Tests and 262 ODIs.
