Pakistan cricket coach Waqar Younis said that the team have the potential and talent to lift the coveted World Cup trophy in 2015, admitting that the team would need to cope with the towering pressure.
Former Pakistan pace bowler stated that team possesses the skills and talent to win the World Cup, adding that they have to put everything together and deal with the pressure, the Dawn reported.
Younis, who led a lethal combination along with compatriot Wasim Akram in 90's, stated that he would be satisfied as long as he has bowlers who are ready to bowl in a disciplined line and length. He believes that it is not just about pace but also about the discipline.
According to Younis, one cannot bowl at 150kph every time and go all over the place as it is essential to have pace control. He said that they were lucky to have Shoaib Akhtar in the 1990's and now they have Wahab Riaz but one needs to bowl in a disciplined line in order to ensure prolonged success.
The cricketers who played cricket during the 1990s should come forward and help Pakistan cricket come up and improve its standing, added Younis.
