Pakistan cricket coach Waqar Younis has praised team's performance in the last five Tests as extremely good, with beating Australia 2-0 and leveling the three Test match series against New Zealand 1-1.
Younis believes that team's performance in the five Tests was extremely good and it would have been a happy ending, had they won the series against New Zealand in Sharjah. Despite having a depleted bowling attack, the team managed to deliver in both the series, he said.
Though Pakistan was defeated by an innings and 80 runs in the third Test against New Zealand, Younis believes that the team should not be criticized as abandoning the second day's play, in view of Australian batsman Phillip Hughes's demise, had broken team's rhythm, the Dawn reported.
Pakistan played without their ace spinner Saeed Ajmal, who is currently under suspension over illegal bowling action since September.
Former Pakistan pace bowler Younis also praised Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq for their impressive performance.
