Australian spin legend Shane Warne has branded a fan of his as a 'tool' and a 'silly fool' after the man's plan to make contact with the famous cricket legend backfired when he emblazoned his mobile number on a sign for Warne during the final Ashes Test for the entire world to see.
Richard Brown, who attended the last day of the Ashes series with seven of his mates to see Australia defeat England in a 5-0 whitewash, brought a sign that read 'Hey Warnie, send us a txt', along with his mobile number, which was broadcast on TV, after which he was soon inundated with calls
According to News.com.au, however, Warne was not amused and instead castigated the man for his own stupidity, saying that he is a 'tool' for complaining about the calls when he himself started the entire fiasco, adding that he never sent a text in reply.
Brown's attempts to make contact with Warne backfired dramatically and he said that if Warne did get in touch, he 'wouldn't believe him probably'.
