Australian spin legend Shane Warne has said that England bowler Stuart Broad was the target of retired spinner Graeme Swann's vicious comments on player egos within the English team.
Swann had criticised certain members of the England team, saying they had gotten too far ahead of themselves, although he later downplayed his comments, saying they were taken out of context.
According to Sport24, Warne said that Broad's performance and behaviour during and after the Perth Ashes Test was soft, and suggested that Swann was saying the same when he launched an attack on players within the team.
Stating that he believes that the comment was put out there to affect anyone who felt like they were being a bit of a 'big head', Warne further said that he believes Swann was aiming the comment at certain England players, one of them being Broad.
Warne further said that Swann might have been angered by Broad hobbling around with a bruised foot and then running around during warm-ups the next morning.
