Australian opener David Warner, who earlier suffered from a broken thumb during the second ODI against England, believes that the pain of his injured thumb will remain for the rest of his career.
The incident took place when the 28-year-old vice-captain was hit by a bouncer fired at him by Steven Finn at Lord's in his left hand.
Speaking on his injury, Warner said it could hinder his selection for the upcoming Test against New Zealand, Sport24 reported.
Warner, however, said that he needs to get through that pain and have to play his game with a positive frame of mind.
Australia will play three-match Test series against the visitors at the home soil, starting from November 5 in Brisbane.
