Australian batsman David Warner's father has claimed that his relationship with 'ironwoman' Candice Falzon is the secret behind his return to form, which culminated in a sensational start to the winter Ashes series.

Howard Warner, who watched his son at the Gabba as he raised his fourth Test century and his first Ashes one on Saturday during the third day of the opening Test, believes that Falzon is a 'calming aspect' on Warner and is instrumental in his present disinterest in alcohol.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Warner Sr. said that Warner nowadays drinks ginger beer instead of beer, is back in bed by ten at night and even when he is not playing cricket, he is training with Falzon, adding that Falzon's professional attitude has made all the difference.

Warner's father further said that being an 'ironwoman', Falzon knew what she had to do with Warner and she accomplished it, adding that his son goes training with his girlfriend very early in the morning, which has helped him 'something terrible'.
