Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has said that Australia wants to be known for their fight and their ruthlessness in their way to success during the winter Ashes series.
Watson and Australian captain Michael Clarke had played in a squad that was brutal in its approach, and Watson believes that to be at their absolute best, Australia needs to be callous and not show any mercy be beating their opponents, in this case their arch-enemy England.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Watson said that he feels Australia has an advantage in their upcoming battle against England as they know exactly what England will be throwing at them, adding that the players are the same as the ones that had beaten them in the last few series.
Stating that his team is coming out rejuvenated and improved with the environment that they have created under new coach Darren Lehmann, Watson also said that England is confident because they have had success over them in the last few series, adding that his team has the necessary firepower to overpower their rivals this time.
Watson also said that there would be no frostiness if he came face-to-face with the enemy, although he added that relationships are up and down throughout for all the Australian and the English players.
