Australian Test player Shane Watson has said that they would try to avoid what happened in the last Test against England in Adelaide, where they lost quick wickets and made it difficult for themselves to claw back into the game.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Watson revealed that the team knows how important it is for them to be able to start well, whether they bat or bowl first.
The all-rounder also said that it was a nice position for Australia to be leading 1-0 compared to the last three Ashes series he was involved in.
Australia is full of optimism, and with good reason following the 381-run pummelling of England in Brisbane, the report said.
