Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today raised a question in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly asking ways to solve issues with Pakistan other than talks.
Expressing discontent over being called anti-national, Abdullah said, "If we ask for talks then we are anti-national? What other way is there to solve issues than to have talks? If we ask for war then it will be termed as national but if we call for talks then it is called anti-national".
"I have always been questioned for failure to curb stone pelting. The state assembly has done many good deeds; they have brought soldiers back to India from across the LoC," he added.
Earlier today, while giving a speech in the state assembly, Abdullah threw light on the achievements of the assembly in past six years.
He also condemned opposition for continuously targeting him over the ongoing ceasefire violations by Pakistan across the Line of Control (LoC) and over the development in the state.
Since July 16, there have been over 30 ceasefire violations by Pakistan at both the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border.

Yesterday, sector commanders of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistani Rangers did a flag meeting in Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura sector, which was held a day after the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly had passed a resolution to request the Indian government to resume talks with Pakistan.
Earlier today, the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was in a state of pandemonium following a hue and cry over the state government's discrimination in sanctioning funds for the Jammu region.
