Asserting that the roots of Sikh terrorism is in Pakistan, Former home secretary and BJP MP R.K. Singh on Monday while expressing grave concern over the terrorist attack in Punjab's border district of Gurdaspur said that there is a need to send a strong message to Islamabad that such incidents are not at all acceptable.
Singh said that Pakistan is providing shelter to these terrorist groups.
"This is a serious matter. This means that ISIS has decided to revive
Sikh terrorism again. Everyone should be aware that the top leaders of Sikh terrorist groups are taking shelter in Pakistan. And, if any terrorist attack happens, then this terrorist attack couldn't took place without the support of ISIS. All the necessary requirements and planning for terrorist attacks are provided by ISIS. This cannot be done without their permission," Singh told ANI here.
"We have to send a strong message to Pakistan that these all things are not acceptable. Though, Pakistan would deny it..We have to think how to handle the Pakistan and nothing would happen through dialogue with their ministers," he added
Meanwhile, the security has been enhanced across Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the Gurdaspur terror attack, which has so far claimed the lives of 10 people, including six civilians.
Security has also been beefed up at the North and South Block.
The Special Forces team has reached the location of the terror attack, which has been cordoned off.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently holding a high-level meeting in Parliament with Union Ministers Manohar Parrikar, Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu.
