'We need a new president', says Trump after Obama's rare address

Soon after U.S. President Barack Obama's Oval Office address to the country on Sunday, Donald Trump was quick to make a conclusion, saying that the US needs a new president.

The real estate mogul had little else to say other than, "Is that all there is?"

According to CNN, Trump said on Twitter that he hoped Obama would not criticise Second Amendment gun rights.

Meanwhile, Republican Ben Carson called Obama's speech 'strange'.

Speaking to the nation in a rare address from the Oval Office on the threat of terrorism, Obama reiterated his pledge to wipe out the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and any other terrorist organisation that threatens to harm America and its people.
