Arnold Schwarzenegger is calling for more effort to fight climate change and stated that it's the issue of the time.

Former California governor talked to a small group at the Munich security conference, where he introduced a new policy paper The Future of Energy, News.com.au reported.

Schwarzenegger said his experience in California was that the adoption of green energy creates jobs and leads to energy independence.

The 67-year-old applauded formal efforts to come to new agreements to reduce carbon emissions and fight global warming, but stated that there's no need for governments to wait for summits.

Schwarzenegger further concluded that everybody breathes the same air, so the issue shouldn't be politicized and people should work together for solutions.
